Privacy Policy
Anello is wallet-based, so we collect less than most apps: no name, no email unless you add it for notifications, no password. This page describes the information we collect, how we use it, and how you can request deletion. Questions: support@anello.io.
1. What we collect
- Account: your wallet address and the user ID assigned by our authentication provider, Privy. Sign-in is by wallet signature — we never ask for a name, email, or password.
- Bot configuration and activity: the strategies you configure (market, range, levels, sizes), the orders your bots place, their fills, and realized profit and loss. This data is required to operate your bots and display your trading activity.
- Notification settings (optional): if you connect Telegram or Discord for fill alerts, we store the Telegram chat ID or Discord webhook URL you link. Disconnecting removes it.
- Site analytics: the public site (anello.io) uses PostHog, hosted in the European Union, with in-memory persistence — it sets no analytics cookies and doesn't track you across visits. The trading app itself runs no analytics.
- Support email: if you email us, we have whatever you sent and the address you sent it from.
2. What we never have
We never have your main wallet's private keys and never hold your funds. The agent wallet that signs bot orders is key-managed by Privy, can only place and cancel orders, and can never withdraw or transfer anything. We don't sell personal data and we use no advertising networks.
3. How we use data
To run your bots, show you your own activity, send the notifications you set up, keep the service secure, and understand aggregate product usage. We don't use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.
4. Where data goes
- Privy — authentication and agent wallet key management.
- Hyperliquid — your orders execute there. Your wallet address and trading activity on Hyperliquid are public venue data, visible to anyone, independent of Anello.
- PostHog — public-site analytics, EU-hosted.
- Hosting providers — our servers and database run on cloud infrastructure that processes data on our behalf.
Each of these has its own privacy policy. We share data with them only as needed to operate the service, never for marketing.
5. On-chain and venue data is public
Trades, orders, and balances on Hyperliquid are public records of the venue. We can delete our copy of your data, but we cannot edit or erase Hyperliquid's — nobody can.
6. Cookies and local storage
The public site sets no analytics cookies. The trading app stores sign-in and session state in your browser (via Privy) so you stay signed in — that's session functionality, not tracking.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while you use the service. To have it deleted, email support@anello.io with your wallet address; we may ask you to verify you control the wallet. We'll delete or anonymize the data we control where reasonably possible — account, bot history, and notification links — within 30 days. Public Hyperliquid data stays public (see above).
8. Lawful basis and privacy rights
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we process data to perform our service contract with you, for legitimate interests such as security and product analytics, and with consent where required. Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection to certain processing. For privacy requests, email support@anello.io.
9. Changes to this policy
If what we collect or how we use it changes, this page changes with it, and the "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
